Nasrin Shamsipour, Walcir Cardoso

Nasrin Shamsipour is a graduate student in the Department of Education at Concordia University. Her research focuses on exploring web-conferencing tools such as Zoom as platforms for L2 pedagogy. She is currently an ESL instructor at a language institution in Montreal, where she teaches English to newcomers in Canada. Walcir Cardoso is a Professor of Applied Linguistics at Concordia University. He conducts research on the L2 acquisition of phonology, morphosyntax and vocabulary, and the effects of computer technology (e.g., clickers, text-to-speech synthesizers, automatic speech recognition, intelligent personal assistants) on L2 learning.
