Ana-Vivian Fernández-Peraza, Furumura Yumiko, Maruyama MasazumiAna-Vivian Fernández-Peraza - Currently teaching translation and intercultural communication courses at Universidad de Costa Rica. More than 25 years of experience in higher education. Research interests lie at the intersection of language education and technology, exploring how digital technologies can facilitate meaningful intercultural interactions and support EFL teaching and learning. Yumiko Furumura earned her doctoral degree in Social and Cultural Studies from Kyushu University in Japan in 2007. She is a professor at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, Japan, where she instructs Intercultural Communication and English as a Foreign Language. Additionally, she has a background in teaching English at Nagasaki University from 2012 to 2020. Her recent research and publications focus on intercultural education within English language instruction, leveraging computer technology, specifically on developing both intercultural and linguistic competence. Masazumi Maruyama received Ph.D. in Communication from the Department of Communication, University of Oklahoma, in 1998. He is an Associate Professor of Intercultural Communication at Nagasaki University, Japan, where he teaches Intercultural Communication and Multilingual and Multicultural Society. His recent research and publications focus on (online) intercultural collaborative learning, COIL, English as a lingua-franca, and translanguaging. | |

Caoimhín Ó Dónaill, Ana GimenoDr Caoimhín Ó Dónaill is a Senior Lecturer in Irish at Ulster University, Ireland. His research interest include TBLL, multimedia materials development, CLIL, and embedding CALL within institutional and national curricula. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the executive committee of Eurocall. She was President of Eurocall from 2005-2011 and has been President of WorldCALL, the world organization for Computer-Assisted Language Learning since 2016.
