Amir Reza Rahimi, Babak Daneshvar Ghorbani

Amir Reza Rahimi is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Valencia, studying language, literature, and culture and its applications His research interests include psycholinguistics, computer-assisted language learning (CALL), language massive open online courses (LMOOCs), virtual exchange, teacher education, the motivation of online language learners, exploratory study, and theory development in the field of education, particularly CALL. Babak Daneshvar Ghorbani is a MA holder in Applied linguistics at Iran University of Science and Technology. His main areas of research are research methods, quantitative studies, scientometric and bibliometric analysis, argumentative writing, and computer assisted language learning (CALL).


Ana Gimeno

Ana Gimeno is Full Professor of English Language in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. She is Head of the CAMILLE Research Group and is President of WorldCALL. She is also editor-in-chief of EuroCALL’s online scientific journal, The EuroCALL Review and Associate Editor of ReCALL (CUP).

Ana-Vivian Fernández-Peraza, Furumura Yumiko, Maruyama Masazumi

Ana-Vivian Fernández-Peraza - Currently teaching translation and intercultural communication courses at Universidad de Costa Rica. More than 25 years of experience in higher education. Research interests lie at the intersection of language education and technology, exploring how digital technologies can facilitate meaningful intercultural interactions and support EFL teaching and learning. 

Yumiko Furumura earned her doctoral degree in Social and Cultural Studies from Kyushu University in Japan in 2007. She is a professor at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, Japan, where she instructs Intercultural Communication and English as a Foreign Language. Additionally, she has a background in teaching English at Nagasaki University from 2012 to 2020. Her recent research and publications focus on intercultural education within English language instruction, leveraging computer technology, specifically on developing both intercultural and linguistic competence.

Masazumi Maruyama received Ph.D. in Communication from the Department of Communication, University of Oklahoma, in 1998. He is an Associate Professor of Intercultural Communication at Nagasaki University, Japan, where he teaches Intercultural Communication and Multilingual and Multicultural Society. His recent research and publications focus on (online) intercultural collaborative learning, COIL, English as a lingua-franca, and translanguaging.


Andrina Magaly Oliveros Martinez

Anne-Marie Sénécal is a PhD student at Université de Sherbrooke in Montréal, Canada, and a research coordinator for a digital competencies project at Université de Montréal. Her work focuses on AI-assisted language learning and the role of AI in education.

Antonie Alm, Suwako Uehara

Antonie Alm (PhD, UCLA) is an Associate Professor at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her research focuses on L2 motivation, learner autonomy, informal language learning, and the integration of AI in language education. Recent publications explore the impact of ChatGPT on language education and machine translation in L2 writing. Suwako Uehara is an Associate Professor at the University of Electro-Communications, Japan, teaching English for academic purposes (EAP) and English for specific purposes (ESP) to undergraduate and graduate students. Her research interests include CALL, Machine translation, 21st-century education, and creativity.

Caoimhín Ó Dónaill, Ana Gimeno

Dr Caoimhín Ó Dónaill is a Senior Lecturer in Irish at Ulster University, Ireland. His research interest include TBLL, multimedia materials development, CLIL, and embedding CALL within institutional and national curricula. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the executive committee of Eurocall. Ana Gimeno is Full Professor of English Language in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. She was President of Eurocall from 2005-2011 and has been President of WorldCALL, the world organization for Computer-Assisted Language Learning since 2016. Her research interests include ESP, CALL and CLIL.
