Eric Hagley taught for 24 years in Japan, as associate professor at Muroran Institute of Technology and research fellow at Hosei University. He is now researching doing his PhD at Griffith University, Australia. The data collected in this study is not associated with his doctoral dissertation. He is chair of APVEA, was vice-president of PacCALL and has written and presented on VE extensively.

Evelyn Izquierdo is an experienced university educator with a Master’s degree in English as a Foreign Language from the Central University of Venezuela. She has held various academic and administrative positions since 1998, including coordinator of graduate programs and contributions in digital literacy and blended learning, showcasing her commitment to innovative teaching methods.
