Leveraging AI to Transform and Optimize EAP Program Curricula: Perspectives from Venezuelan Educators

The successful integration of AI requires a comprehensive approach that addresses instructors' concerns and aligns with institutional goals and resources (Popenici & Kerr, 2017; Ferguson et al., 2017). This study aims to provide insights for EAP program administrators and policymakers seeking to leverage AI technologies to transform and optimize EAP curricula in the Venezuelan context  The mixed-methods study explores Venezuelan EAP instructors' perspectives on integrating AI-powered technologies to enhance and optimize EAP program curricula. The ongoing research investigates factors, such as perceived benefits, challenges, and readiness for AI integration through a survey and interviews. Preliminary findings suggest that while EAP educators recognize AI's potential to personalize learning and improve curriculum design, significant challenges exist related to infrastructure, professional development, and institutional support.
